A suitcase might damn you

All your life could fit in a small suitcase. The important bits, anyway. The gloves you mended, the socks your mother had knitted. A book that you loved, with a dedication from your sister. A photograph. Pieces of you more intimate than the inside of your leg or the back of your palms, yet you could leave them behind and someone or maybe something else would walk away without them.
